A Positive Change To Cornerstone

A Positive Change To Cornerstone

Why moving to MRC Cornerstone has been a positive change for me

Great Reputation

We recently sat with a resident that has lived at MRC Cornerstone for almost a year. She was anxious to tell us how the move to Cornerstone has impacted her life in several positive ways. Her name is Joyce Luker. She moved to Cornerstone from Hope, Arkansas last year. She mentioned hearing a lot of good things about Cornerstone, that renovations were taking place, and that every apartment had a patio facing our wooded 55 acres.

Endless Activities

Joyce had heard several positive comments about our retirement living, including the great activities. Jewelry making, bridge, dominoes and instructor-led exercise are just a few of the activities that she was interested in. She found even more activities that she was interested in once she moved in. A couple of her favorite things since she moved in have been outings to Jefferson and Shreveport, where they shopped and enjoyed great restaurants together. Additionally, she recently played in a Domino tournament with several new friends.

Personalization

Prior to moving into the beautiful apartment that she chose, she was able to select the color for the walls and the granite counters. She really enjoyed being a part of that process from start to finish. The renovations for all of our apartments include all stainless appliances and washer and dryer units in each apartment. We always want our new residents to own their customizations for their new apartment.

Beautiful memories created with family

Mrs. Luker’s very favorite part of the apartment is exactly how she heard it described by friends, her beautiful patio facing the giant pines in her huge backyard. Flowers line her flagstone path that she enjoys daily along with her granddaughter. She loves that her granddaughter feels like she is a part of this community as well, often showing up for one of Chef Ty’s famous lunches or “Breakfast After Dark”. Her special space on her patio has already created invaluable memories for the two of them.

The choice is simple – choose Cornerstone

It was a pleasure interviewing Joyce Luker, and I would encourage anyone that is beginning to prepare for their retirement to take a look at the amazing lifestyle that Cornerstone has to offer. This lifestyle that Joyce has so beautifully described, including: the wooded 55 acres, professional chef, endless activities and new friends and neighbors, is one you will truly enjoy.
